Chinese Shar-Peis are regal, alert, intelligent, dignified, lordly, scowling, sober and snobbish essentially independent and somewhat standoffish with strangers. He is extreme in his devotion to his family. The Shar-Pei stands firmly on the ground with a calm, confident stature.
